Upsells
An upsell is a special offer shown to the buyer immediately after their payment is complete — on the processing screen, while TinyPages is confirming their purchase.
How it works
After the buyer's payment goes through, instead of going straight to the success page, they briefly see a processing screen. At this moment, an upsell offer appears:
- A description of a complementary product
- A special discounted price
- A single Accept button to add it to their order
If they click Accept, the discounted amount is charged immediately and the product is added to their account. No second checkout, no re-entering card details — it's literally one click. If they decline, they proceed to the success page with their original purchase only.
Setting up an upsell
Open a product in your dashboard and go to the Upsells section. Click Add upsell and:
- Select which product to offer
- Set the discounted price
- TinyPages automatically generates a upsell page for the offer — see Customising the upsell page below
You can configure up to 2 upsells per product. They appear in automation — if the buyer accepts the first upsell, they're then shown the second one.
Customising the upsell page
The upsell page is fully customisable, just like a regular web page. To edit it, go to Pages in your dashboard and open the page linked to the product you've configured upsells for. In the left sidebar, you'll see the upsell pages listed. Open one and you can add any blocks you like — text, images, testimonials, and more — using the same editor as for any other page.
Tips for effective upsells
- Make the offer clearly related to what they just bought
- Price it at a meaningful discount compared to the standalone price
- Keep the description short — one sentence that communicates the key benefit
