Order Bumps
An order bump is a small add-on offer displayed directly on the checkout page, just before the buyer confirms their payment. The buyer sees a checkbox with a brief description and a special price — if they check it, the add-on is included in the same transaction without a second checkout.
How it works
When a buyer is about to complete their purchase, they see a clearly highlighted section with a checkbox. It shows a brief description of the add-on product and its special price. If the buyer checks the box, the add-on is included in their order. Both products are purchased in a single transaction — one payment, one click.
If the buyer doesn't check the box, they proceed with their original purchase as normal.
Setting up an order bump
Open any product in your dashboard and go to the Order bumps section. Click Add order bump and:
- Select which product to offer as the add-on
- Set the discounted price for the bump (typically lower than the standalone price)
- The description displayed on the order bump is automatically pulled from the product's own description
You can add up to 2 order bumps per product.
What makes a good order bump?
The best order bumps are closely related to the main purchase — something that naturally complements what the buyer is already getting. For example:
- A coaching session as an add-on to an online course
- A workbook as an add-on to a video program
- An extended Q&A session as an add-on to a workshop
