Tags

Tags are labels you attach to contacts to group and segment your audience. They're simple and flexible, and they connect several parts of TinyPages together.

How tags are assigned

A tag can be added to a contact in four ways:

  1. Automatically when someone subscribes via an Email Capture block — configure a tag directly in the Email Capture block settings. Everyone who submits that form receives the tag.
  2. Automatically when someone submits a Form — if the Form includes an email field, you can assign a tag through the form's destination settings. When someone submits the form, the tag is applied to their contact.
  3. Automatically when someone purchases a product — every product has a dedicated tag automation. When a contact buys a product, the corresponding tag is assigned automatically.
  4. Manually from the contact detail page — open any contact in your dashboard and add or remove tags by hand.

What tags drive

Tags connect multiple parts of TinyPages together:

Naming your tags

Use clear, descriptive names that reflect the contact's behavior or status. Good examples: free-course-subscriber, waitlist-may-launch, customer-program-x, webinar-june. Avoid vague names — you'll thank yourself later when you're setting up broadcasts and automations.
