Tutorial: Webinar or Event Registration

Collect registrations for a live webinar or workshop, confirm each sign-up automatically, schedule reminder emails before the event, and follow up after it's over.

Pro feature

Publishing the confirmation email (step 5) and sending or scheduling emails (steps 6 and 7) require the Pro plan.

  1. Go to Web pages → click Create page → build your registration page:

    • Write a clear headline ("Join the free live workshop on [topic]")
    • Include the date, time, and format (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
    • Keep the page to the essentials: one goal, one action

  2. In the editor, type /email to insert the Email form block.

  3. In the block settings → turn on Tag contacts and choose a tag (e.g., webinar-june-12).

  4. Click Publish on the registration page → share the link wherever you communicate.

  5. Go to Automations → click Create an automation → open the A tag tab → choose webinar-june-12. Write the confirmation email, click Next, keep Send on day at 0, then click Publish:

    • Day 0, confirmation: "You're registered! Here's the joining link: [link]. Add it to your calendar."

  6. Reminders have to go out on a set date, while an automated email goes out a set number of days after each person registers. So create your reminders in Emails, one email per reminder:

    1. Go to Emails → click Create email → write the reminder → click Next.
    2. In Recipients, select the tag webinar-june-12.
    3. Under Sending, choose Later, pick the date and time, then click Schedule for ....

    Each email goes to everyone who has the tag when it's sent, including people who register after you schedule it. Plan two reminders:

    • Day before the event: "See you tomorrow at [time]! Here's the link again."
    • Day of the event: "It's today! Join us at [time]: [link]."

  7. After the event, create one more email the same way for the replay or follow-up: share the recording or slides, and include a pitch for a relevant paid offer. Select the tag webinar-june-12 in Recipients, then send it with Now, or choose Later to schedule it for the next day.

Each registrant gets the confirmation as soon as they sign up, and the reminders and replay reach everyone on the list at the times you chose.
