Connect Stripe (Accept Payments)
TinyPages uses Stripe, an online payment service, to process your customers' payments. To sell paid products, you need a Stripe account connected to TinyPages.
- The money from your sales goes straight to your Stripe account.
- On the Pro plan, TinyPages takes no commission: you only pay Stripe's fees.
- Check your country on the first Stripe screen. It can't be changed later.
Connecting from TinyPages creates a new Stripe account for you, linked to your TinyPages account. It's free.
How payments work
When a customer pays for one of your products, the money goes directly into your Stripe account. On the Pro plan, TinyPages doesn't take a commission: the only fees are Stripe's standard transaction fees. On the free plan, TinyPages keeps 15% of each sale. Stripe deducts it automatically at the time of payment, so you never have anything to pay back.
On the order page, your customers pay by card, or with Apple Pay or Google Pay when their phone or browser offers it. PayPal isn't available for now.
If your pages are on your own domain (for example yourname.com), add that domain in your Stripe account, under Settings → Payments → Payment method domains. Until you do, Apple Pay and Google Pay don't show up on your order page, and your customers can only pay by card.
Stripe then sends the money to your bank account automatically, following the payout schedule set in your Stripe account.
One exception: a subscription or a payment in installments sold while you were on the free plan. The 15% commission stays on all its later payments, even after you move to Pro. Everything you sell once you're on Pro has no commission.
How to connect Stripe
The first Stripe screen asks where your business is based. Make sure it shows your country: Stripe can pre-fill another one (such as Hong Kong), and the country can't be changed once your account is created. To fix it afterwards, you'd have to disconnect Stripe in Settings → Payment and connect a new account.
- Go to Settings → Payment.
- In the Stripe box, click Connect.
- You'll be redirected to Stripe to fill in your details, then brought back to TinyPages. If you already use Stripe, sign in with the same email address when Stripe asks.
Stripe then reviews your account. While it does, the Stripe box says your account is under review or needs more information, with a link to finish on Stripe. Once your account is approved, the box shows Connected and you can start selling.
